The company was named after a legendary Japanese swordsman and martial artist, Miyamoto Musashi. He is considered one of the greatest warriors of Japan because of his mastery of swordsmanship, excellent fighting style, and teachings. He authored a book called Go Rin No Sho or The Book of Five Rings that tackles fighting strategies and tactics as well as philosophy.
The company was one of the first to release amino acid blends in Australia with the products Kuan: The Creative, K'un: The Receptive, Chen, and Ni in 1987.
